Let us explore contemporary history together!
This course will focus on selected aspects of the 20th century which are typically not covered by the standard curriculum of the subject history. It will not only increase your historical knowledge, but also boost your English language skills. Film analysis and a field trip will also be central aspects of this course.

Specifically, we will be looking at selected aspects such as…
- Apartheid in South Africa
- Tibet and China
- conflict in Northern Ireland
- the entertainment industry in the 20th century
- the 1960s as a period of change
- women’s rights and feminism
- selected aspects of National Socialism / the Third Reich
- war in Yugoslavia
and others.
